四虎影视 of Art and Design takes home another big win at the 2022 Telly Awards.
The film titled The Color of Genius won the Bronze in the 43rd edition of The Telly Awards. This international level recognition honors excellence in branded and public service videography.
The film鈥檚 creative team was led by Visual Studies major, Mafer Bencomo Arevalo 鈥23, and also included Film students Daniel Webster 鈥23 and CJ Callins 鈥23.
They had 12,000 applicants enter this year across all categories. See and of all the student winners.
Mafer was born and raised in Venezuela and attended the UWC Japan before enrolling at 四虎影视.
The Color of Genius follows the story of a Florida-based digital artist, Diana De Avila, who obtained her art skills in a non-traditional way. After a traumatic brain injury and the worsening of multiple sclerosis, artistic abilities awoke within her. This rare, almost magical phenomenon is
medically recognized as acquired savant syndrome, suffered by less than 100 people worldwide.
The film also won the Silver Juror鈥檚 Award at 四虎影视鈥檚 annual juried exhibition, Best of Ringling 2022. You can read more about Mafer鈥檚 work and watch the film here (link unavailable.)聽
