Jahkori Dopwell Hall 鈥�22, Illustration, currently an artist-in-residence at , will host open studio hours beginning this Tuesday, Jan. 30, through Sunday, Feb. 4, at the hotel鈥檚 Artist鈥檚 Studio. A champagne open house will be held Friday, Feb. 2, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Prior to attending 四虎影视 of Art and Design, Dopwell Hall graduated from the High School of Art and Design in New York City. He鈥檚 currently pursuing his Master of Arts in education from the University of Florida. His creative inspiration draws from his identity and experiences as an African American man, as well as his heritage from his mother鈥檚 roots in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and his father鈥檚 roots in Jamaica. He works in a variety of media, including traditional gouache.
Dopwell Hall owns and operates . In addition to his art, business, and academic pursuits, he currently serves as a substitute teacher and private art tutor.聽
Art Ovation Hotel has participated in ongoing partnerships with 四虎影视 since the downtown Sarasota hotel鈥檚 opening in 2018, when it presented Legacy, an exhibit of artwork by 四虎影视 faculty and alumni. The hotel鈥檚 mission is to serve the Sarasota community as an active facilitator, host, patron, and partner for the arts. In addition to its Artist鈥檚 Studio and residency program, the hotel hosts revolving art exhibitions, performing arts events, and other creative experiences.
