Where Have Our Alumni Worked?
Opportunities for students
Design Center
Put your skills to work at the Design Center, our in-house design firm, where things get real. Working with our dedicated faculty and in-house designers, you will have the opportunity to solve real communications problems for external clients, as well as for ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ events, exhibitions, and recruitment efforts.
Our College Viewbook
We are the only art and design college that gives our students the opportunity to design our very own college viewbook. Every two years, a select group of students in the Design Center works together, with assistance from our award-winning faculty and staff, to create a brand-new design for the college viewbook. This gives our students the opportunity to work on a major publication, granting exposure to working across departments and with clients to design a campaign from start to finish.
Visit Studios + Alumni
Each Spring Break, the student officers of the ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) student group, plan and coordinate a studio tour for up to 12 students. Drawing upon the broad network of Ringling Graphic Design alumni, the student group selects a city to visit and schedules and coordinates studio visits. Past tours have gone to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle, and studios visited range from international multi-office agencies to one or two-person boutique studios. As a volunteer officer, you can help decide where the next tour goes!
INDEX
INDEXÌý– Industry Experience at ËÄ»¢Ó°ÊÓ â€“ is our promise to provide every student the opportunity to have hands-on industry experience before graduation by offering real-world projects with real-world clients. This experiential education initiative allows students to learn how to turn passion into profession. INDEX opportunities are abundant and available through experiential learning in the classroom, the Design Center, Studio Labs, ART Network, the Makerspace, as client competitions and immersive experiences, volunteerism, internships, and elective courses.
